Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy the rest of your day to relax or go out and explore Singapore on your own.

Day 2 – Singapore

Enjoy all that is old and new on a Singapore highlights tour with lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel. Singapore is a mesmerizing blend of modernity and tradition, beckoning travelers with its unique charm and endless possibilities to explore.

Day 3 – Singapore to Siem Reap

This morning we will transfer to the airport for our flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy some free time to relax. This evening, visit Angkor Night Market, the first and only true night market in Siem Reap. Finish your day by browsing an assortment of handicrafts, raw-silk fabrics, hand-made jewelry and custom art from over 100 vendors and shops. Perhaps, purchase a keepsake to remind you of your travels before returning to your hotel.

Day 4 – Siem Reap

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, begin your day by touring Angkor Wat, Cambodia’s ancient temple city and one of the wonders of the Oriental world. The awe-inspiring ruins survive as a testament to the spectacular achievements of Southeast Asia’s greatest civilization. Etched and carved in the temple facades are stories of Khmer epics and myths. The inside walls are adorned with stone images of celestial Apsara dancers. Angkor Wat’s five famous towers rise into the sky, a geometrical symbol of the peaks of Mount Meru.

Your guide can recommend a place for lunch. This afternoon, you’ll tour the South Gate of Angkor Thom. Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, was a city of priests, military officials and residents of the Royal Palace. Pass through the South Gate, one of the four gates of Angkor Thom, before exploring the magnificent Bayon Temple. As you pass through the jungle, this sacred site emerges as one of the most impressive and mysterious temples. Visit the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of Leper King, courtyards of magnificent statues that date back to the 12th century. Conclude the day with Ta Prohm temple. Swallowed by the jungle, Ta Prohm was a Buddhist temple dedicated to the mother of Jayavarman VII. The temple is cloaked in tree roots and moss, creating a poetic picture of nature reclaiming the ruins. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.

Optional Add-Ons: One-hour private Gongola ride on the Angkor Thom moat or Cambodian Circus show. Enjoy energetic and talented young Cambodian artists with their spectacular juggling and daring acrobatic skills. In 2021 the Phare circus won 4 prestigious international awards and entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Pricing additional. Available on request.

Day 5 – Siem Reap

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before visiting a local village to discover the daily life of the local people. Then you’ll continue to Banteay Srey temple. Banteay Srey is the fabled “Pink Temple of Women,” so-called because it is made of pink sandstone and a tribute to the beauty of women. Its small size, delicate carvings, and remarkable state of preservation make this temple one of the most revered. Dedicated in 987, Banteay Srey is also one of the oldest temples in the region. You will continue with a visit to the Conservatory, where the Sacred Dancers of Angkor train and rehearse, just a stone’s throw from Banteay Srey temple. You will watch or take part in a brief meditation and folk repertoires then enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.Tonle

This afternoon, continue with a visit of Satcha, the first Cambodian Handicraft Incubation Center where local artisans mix traditional knowledge with contemporary design to give Cambodian handicrafts a new dimension. You’ll be transferred to the Siem Reap pier for a boat trip on the Tonle Sap lake for the beautiful sunset (depending on the weather conditions of the day). Return to your hotel for the evening.

Physical Activity

This Journey should be considered active and includes a considerable amount of walking.

Enrichment Journeys will do everything in our power to ensure comfort through our third-party providers, including air-conditioned buses and comfortable accommodations where applicable. However, some areas cannot be accessed by coach, so our drivers will get you as close to sites as is legally allowed. Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are strongly recommended. Historical sites often do not have elevators, escalators, or ramps due to the age of the building/structure. Steps can be steep and uneven. Based on crowds and traffic, order of visits may be changed. You may have to walk a moderate distance to transfer to coach stations and airport terminals. Time spent on the road and traveling can be long, so you will need to be prepared for stretches of down time in between destinations.

Wheelchair access at many sites is limited. A fold-up wheelchair may be able to be stored on the bus but requires prior arrangements. Guests must be able to transfer from their chair to the transportation. Guides/drivers are not allowed to lift or push wheelchairs, so guests requiring physical assistance must travel with a companion who can assist. Motorized wheelchairs and scooters cannot be accommodated on this group program.

There is a $100 per person charge for this service, however this charge will be applied toward any flights or upgrades you choose to purchase. The $100 charge must be paid prior to receiving a custom air quote.

Passport and Visa Requirements

To travel internationally, you must have a passport in good condition, and it must be valid for at least 6 months after the last day of your trip. Visa requirements change frequently and for various reasons. As a result, our Personal Vacation Managers are not always able to provide visa information. The best way to obtain up-to-date information regarding visa requirements is to visit the official US government website for Americans traveling abroad, Travel.State.Gov (Canadian citizens should visit https://travel.gc.ca/, for all other countries please visit your government website or local embassy), which details specific information on the countries you would like to visit, including visa requirements. You may also use a third-party visa service, such as Expedited Travel. These services require an additional service fee but make the process of applying for a visa much simpler.
